The Ski & Snowboard Club of the Tri-Cities in Southeastern Washington State.

We are a not-for-profit all-volunteer organization, incorporated in 1953, that has over the years evolved into a year-round Sports and Social Activities Club for singles and couples.  However, our primary goal remains to be promotion of snow skiing, snow boarding and other winter recreational outdoor sports.  Our membership totals over 100.  We ski for fun pretty much as we individually prefer and do not enter as a club in competitive events.  Skill levels vary from rank beginner to expert with advanced intermediate most common.

Most of our trips are to ski areas within 100 - 300 miles of home which can be reached by no more than a two to six hour bus trip -- within that distance, we can reach ten to thirteen good ski areas, some excellent.  Each year, we also take a few longer trips to the Colorado Rockies and the Utah Wasatch mountains or board AMTRAK for Whitefish MT.  Each year, our  schedule covers local trips we sponsor to nominally ten different ski areas as well as to attend other events of member interest.  On occasion, will sponsor a club trip to some more distant ski area, such as one of the Alpine resorts of Europe -- such as  Zermatt, Switzerland (2014).  We also try to list significant trips by other local winter activity clubs to assist with joint event planning..

Many of our trips allow minors (check with trip leaders for details).  All trips are BYOB, and we provide basics such as water and snacks.  To minimize time conflicts, we occasionally include ski trips scheduled by other local winter sports organizations so local residents can get in all the skiing and boarding they can handle.

We hold usually-monthly meetings every month throughout the year, although during the summer, they tend to become more informal.
